In this report, the Iteka League also examines the political, security, judicial, and governance context. It also analyzes illustrative cases of violations of civil and political rights that marked this week.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The human rights violations observed and documented by the Iteka League are as follows: at least 8 people killed, including 7 bodies found lifeless, among which 4 were children; 2 people kidnapped, and 1 case of arbitrary arrest and imprisonment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The main suspects in these violations are administrative officials, police officers, soldiers, and young Imbonerakure from the ruling party, CNDD-FDD. <a href=\"https:\/\/ligue-iteka.bi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Weekly-bulletin-iteka-n-ijambo-530.pdf\">Read more<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This bulletin presents the human rights situation in Burundi during the week of June 8 to 14, 2026.
