This monthly report for May 2025 is a summary of the weekly Iteka n’ Ijambo bulletins from 472 to
\n476. This report covers the political, judicial, economic, and security contexts, as well as the human
\nrights context that marked this period. It also reviews civil and political rights and economic, social,
\nand cultural rights. This report concludes with a conclusion and recommendations.<\/p>\n
The human rights situation was reported as follows: at least 34 people killed, including 13 found
\nkilled in different locations; 9 people abducted and\/or missing; 10 people tortured; 11 victims of
\nSGBV, including 4 minors; and 14 people arbitrarily arrested, including 3 CNL party members and 1
\nmember of FRODEBU party and a member of the Burundi Bwa Bose coalition.<\/p>\n
Among the dead were four women and two infants.<\/p>\n
